[:hr]Mladi nogometaši Istre 1961 su prošlog tjedna nastupali na turniru 14. memorijal vukovarskih branitelja koji se od 21. do 24. travnja održao u Vukovaru. Mladi Zeleno-žuti predvođeni trenerom Sašom Peršićem su odlično otvorili turnir pobjedom nad Hajdukom 1:0. Međutim, nešto slabija prezentacija protiv Selekcije Hrvata iz Njemačke i poraz od 1:0 te kasniji poraz od Cibalije od 3:0 značio je kraj natjecanja na ovogodišnjem vukovarskom turniru.
Turnir je osvojio Dinamo koji je u finalu svladao Splita, dok su u utakmici za treće mjesto bolji bili igrači Lokomotive koji su pobijedili Hajduka.

Za Istru 1961 su nastupali: Dizdar, Braić, Dragešić, Stanić, Valić, Ladislović, Stojanović, Rovis, Poldrugovac, Kristaj, Kajtazović, Hrgota, Šuran, Hmura, Sazonov, Rojnić i Šteko.[:us]Young footballers of Istra 1961, the U-14 team, played last weekend on a strong tournament in Vukovar. Along with all 10 first league teams, there was the hosting team Vukovar and three selections of Croatian players from Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Young Green and Yellows started the tournament very well with a win 1:0 against Hajduk. Sadly, a pretty bad match against the Croats from Germany and a loss of 1:0 and after a defeat against Cibalia 3:0 meant that the pioneers had to stop the tournament on the group phase.,
Dinamo won the tournament by beating Split in the final match.
