U rovinjskom djelu priprema će dečki odigrati tri prijateljska susreta, a zatim će se vratiti u Pulu gdje će odraditi još dvije utakmice. Zeleno-žuti će početkom veljače nastupati na Istria winter cupu u Novigradu gdje će ujedno odigrati i generalku uoči nastavka prvenstva.[:us]The footballers of Istra 1961 have just started the winter preparations for the second half of the season. The guys spent half of their second training day in Štinjan when they practiced on a wet, slippery and soft ground.

The Green and yellows should practice in Štinjan and Pula until the January 15 when they should move to Rovinj for eight days where they will play three friendly matches. However, because of really bad and rainy weather, it’s possible that the team will move to Rovinj at the start of the next week.

After the Rovinj part of the preparation ends, the team will come back to Pula where it will play two friendly matches. In the last part of the winter preparations the guys will play on the Istria Winter Cup tournament in Novigrad, almost 50 miles from Pula. There they will play the general test before the start of the second part of the season.[:]
