A press conference was held today on the occasion of the presentation of the new sports director of Istra 1961, Saša Bjelanović. The conference was attended by the president of the club, Mr. Devide Vincenti, and the new sports director, Mr. Bjelanović.
We gathered today to present our new sports director, a well-known football name – Mr. Saša Bjelanovic. Former player of our club and the national team, who now comes from Italy with great football experience, as well as experience in high football positions. It is a great honor for us that Saša joined us and we believe that he can contribute to the development of the club. He will have great support from us and we wish him good luck in his work – said Mr. Devide Vincenti at the press conference.
First of all, I would like to thank the management and the owners of the club for their trust. It is an honor and a pleasure to be here, to return as a sports worker. Istra has a motivating environment and I did not hesitate much when the opportunity for cooperation came. A demanding season awaits us, and the team is currently in the reconstruction phase. I am a person open to collaboration and all decisions will be made in the knowledge of the coach. There is certainly potential here and I have no doubt that this season will be even better with the result than last year – said Mr. Bjelanović at the conference.
Mr. Bjelanović is a former player of Istra 1961, Dinamo and Varteks, as well as various Italian clubs. He also played the role of sports director for Hajduk and as a scout for Atalanta. We believe that g Bjelanović will set the team to a good path in the following two years.
