A press conference was held today ahead of the match of the 17th round of the SuperSport Croatian Football League with Lokomotiva, which is scheduled for Saturday, November 12, starting at 3 pm. At the conference, head coach Gonzalo Garcia and player Dario Marešić announced the match.
We will play with a demanding team, which has high intensity and difficulty, so I expect the same now. We go there with the intention of finishing this part of the season with another three points. On Tuesday in the cup match, we lacked sharpness and precision, but our confidence was not shaken. The players know what they can bring and how they can play, but in that match we played at a “lower” speed, and when that’s the situation – then basically anyone can beat you. Furthermore, Caseres and Mlinar will be missing in the midfield, but we will cover their positions because we have players who can do it. At the moment, I don’t have about eight players available, some injured, some suspended for this match. Also, Einar has three yellow cards, but Perković, who did not play the last game, is coming back. When Lokomotiva gets the ball, it immediately rushes to the goal. The games with them are always exciting and I think they have great players and quality. I love them as a team and playing against them is always interesting! – the coach stated in the conference.
A difficult match awaits us, the last match before the first break. We prepared well and recovered after the cup, and we are going to Zagreb with three points. My review of the cup match is just – if you don’t give 100% from the first minute on the pitch – you can lose to anyone. They defended very well and it was difficult for us to make up for the two goals. I’m doing great now, but the disease recently caught me unpleasantly, but now I’m back and I’ve got a rhythm going forward. The most important thing is that we stick to our game and what makes us better – anyone can be aggressive, but if we stick to the plan and aggressiveness, we can fight back. The cup did not shake us and we will go on to win this game and take three points. Everything is great in the locker room because every day is a new day and a new chance to progress and show your best side. I feel great here in Pula – from the players, the staff and the whole club – I like it here, and I think you can see that I feel good on the field, said Dario.
