Sergej Banović is the new coach of the green and yellow junior team!🔰
In the new season, coach Banović will lead the U19 team together with his staff, assistant Luka Mataj and fitness coach Tihan Arapović.
Sergej has been doing quality work for many years as a coach of the younger categories of Istria in 1961. Last season, he did an excellent job in developing the potential of the 2008 players, four of whom were on the U15 national team list. Along with the good development of the players through the game came a quality result in the spring part as proof and reward for the systematic work of the entire staff throughout the year. Accordingly, we believe that coach Banović with his quality can upgrade the generation of 2005/06, with whom he already achieved remarkable play and success at the pioneering age when they became champions of Croatia, said academy coordinator Andro Fistonić.
