A press conference was held today at the Aldo Drosina stadium to present the new sports director and new coach of Istra 1961. The press conference was attended by executive director Mikel Lauzurica, Baskonia Alaves sports management representative Mikel Gonzalez, head coach Fausto Budicin and sports director Dario Dabac.
- Before introducing the new faces of the club, I would like to thank Danijel Jumić and the entire staff for leading the team for the last two weeks. Thank you for the excellent work and the support to the club. I am honored to announce new members of our sports department. I wish them the warmest welcome on behalf of the whole club, they have our full support. – says the executive director.
- We believe in this club and I believe we can succeed with the whole project, as does Deportivo Alaves, for whom this is the most important international project. We want growth and progress, we want players from Croatia and Istria who share a love for the club, and I believe we will achieve this together with coach Budicin and sports director Dabac. We will also pay close attention to the Academy and provide an opportunity for young players. – says Mikel Gonzalez.

- Problems exist to be solved. I believe that we will be successful in this by working together. Our work should be reflected in the game and better results on the field, and after that a better atmosphere around the club will be created. We need our fans! – says coach Budicin.
