NK Istra 1961 and the Medical School in Pula signed an agreement on cooperation and practical education of students in the field of physiotherapists.

“It is a great pleasure for the club to actively participate in the development of students, helping them to experience real situations, in this case for the treatment of professional footballers. We believe that this experience can be very useful for students in the future and we hope that they will enjoy the time they spend with our staff and players, and make the most of it to gather practical knowledge.
We take this opportunity to thank the Pula Medical School for this cooperation and we hope that this cooperation will become a tradition in the coming years”, says the executive director of Istria 1961 Mikel Lauzurica Evolet.

“As the director of the Pula Medical School, I am extremely honored that our institution has the opportunity to cooperate with the domestic first league NK Istra 1961. Physiotherapy is one of the key components in preparing athletes for hard training and matches and the greatest value of this cooperation lies in the fact that our students will have the opportunity learn directly in, for them, the real sector and thus will be prepared for the labor market that awaits them after graduation. We, as the School, are extremely proud of this fact, and we are additionally happy to cooperate with the club that represents the colors of our city and region in the Croatian elite competition, the most popular sport in this area. We are looking forward to cooperation” – the director of the Medical School Ivan Žagar.

“As a vocational school where practical teaching is the basis of education, the opportunity to cooperate with NK Istra is extremely important. Getting acquainted with modern technology and using innovative approaches in work raises the level of education of our staff. We are grateful that we have been given this opportunity where our students can develop rehabilitation skills in sports in direct work with athletes. I think we have opened the door for future collaboration that will bring benefits to both our students and the club”. Danijela Panić, teacher
