We are proudly announcing that NK Istra 1961, Deportivo Alaves and LaLiga have joined forces on a project to develop grassroots football players and professionals in Croatia especially Istria, called Branko Bubić Football Days (April 14 and 15).

These football days are named in honor and memory of Branko Bubić, our Buba, the legend of Istrian football and our club. Branko Bubić was active in sports for more than 50 years, first as a football player, and then as a member of the sports team and an employee of NK Istra 1961. Unfortunately, Buba left us last summer in June, leaving with everyone in Istria, and especially in our club, a big gap.
NK Istra 1961, Deportivo Alaves and LaLiga joined forces and organized joint cooperation at the Branko Bubić Football Days, with the aim of having a positive impact on Croatian grassroots players and professionals, especially in the area of Istria.
Without a doubt, Croatian football has a high level of knowledge in the stages of discovering and developing talent and competitive players, which was interesting to share with colleagues from LaLiga clubs and their experts.
The goal of this project is to create synergy and exchange of football knowledge between NK Istra 1961, Deportivo Alaves, La Liga and other Croatian clubs, players and coaches, exchanging ideas and relevant methodologies in the field of domestic talent development.

Football days will be held in two phases – lectures on the first day and the tournament on the second day. Younger categories of NK Istra 1961, HNK Gorica, NK Lokomotiva, HNK Rijeka, FC Koper and NK Domžale will participate in the tournament.
