A press conference was held today to present the new players of Istra 1961. The press conference was attended by the sports director Mr. Dario Dabac and the players Damjan Daničić and Miroslav Iličić.
Damjan Daničić comes from Dinamo on loan for a year and is a young member of the Serbian national team, with experience playing in the HNL. The guy we were looking for and wanted, we think we’ll get speed, dominance and a cross shot on the left with him. Miroslav Iličić comes from Belupo, a child of NK Rijeka. I am very glad that he decided to come to us. I think we got a fantastic person, a young boy who knows what he wants. He will compete in the position of central striker and midfielder, and I think he can also play winger. Its development went through Rijeka and Orient, to Belupo. We are extremely happy that the guys are with us, says Dario Dabac.
We started the trainings last Sunday with an introductory rhythm slowly, this week we are already working more seriously, the trainings are harder. The atmosphere at the training is great as well as off the field, the first impression is great, says Damjan Daničić.
I would like to thank the people from the club for giving me a chance, especially Mr. Dabac who from the first conversation showed a desire to come here. I am extremely happy and I did great in the team, there is a great atmosphere in the locker room, which I hope we will show on the field during the season, says Miroslav Iličić.
