Today we gathered in Bale on the occasion of the official opening of our new field at the Bale campus!
The works lasted two months, and the new pitch is ready for use by our senior team as of today! Natural grass has been laid on both fields, and the campus is now enriched and expanded for the performance of all sports activities. The opening was officially marked by Mr. Branko Devide Vincenti, the president of the club and Mr. Edi Pastrovicchio, the mayor of Bala municipality, along with players Lovro Majkić, Frano Mlinar, Slavko Blagojević and Antonio Maurić.
The executive director of NK Istra 1961, Mr. Mikel Lauzurica, commented on the construction of the new field: We are really happy that we are making progress with the planned steps of building the football camp in Bale. We are very grateful to the Municipality of Bale, which is, without a doubt, the perfect partner on this journey. Our first team will train in better conditions from now on. We are continuing with the plan to bring our academy players who compete in the first tier to Bale, and the construction of a third pitch is also planned. As always, invest responsibly.
We are extremely glad that today, for the holiday of St. Nikola, we could present our team with pitch number 2 in the Bale camp. This is a big step forward for our club, which will contribute to better training of the first team and success, which will probably be reflected in the team’s future results.
The next phase of the project is the construction of the third field with artificial grass, and in a further phase the construction of the building and the fourth field.
