Mr. Gonzalo García is the new coach of Istra 1961!

NK Istra 1961 and Mr. Gonzalo García agreed terms and this 37-year-old Spanish expert will take over the management of the first team.

The new coach of Istra was born on October 13, 1983 in Montevideo, and he started his playing career at SD Compostela. Along with Compostela, he also played for Real Madrid B, Heerenveen, Groningen, Maccabi Tel Aviv and Anorthosis among others.
He started his coaching career in dutch FC Twente as the assistant coach of Marin Pušić in the season 2018/19. With the departure of Pušić, he takes over the team and leads it through the season 2019/20.
