After a draw result at Rujevica, Istra 1961’ coach gave his opinion about the game on press conference.
“We’ve played against one of the best teams in the league and won a point. Game was really crazy. We got into the lead, they equalised and then once again the same thing. After that they scored for 3-2 and we managed to get a draw. I cannot say I’m not happy with a point. I think game with Rijeka came in our best moment so far – Rijeka started season well in league and Europa league, but they got knocked out. We know they are shaked and we used this opportunity.
About Rijeka, it’s obvious they are training very well. You can see good and hard work, team is very motoric, with good tactics, although we scored 3 goals, we’re going home with one point.
We’re still growing each game. Today we’ve played better than with Lokomotiva, and against Lokomotiva better than Osijek, so I think we’re on the right track.”[:]
